WAK081 - the new release from one of the best up and coming hardcore/metal bands from Netherlands.

Inspired by bands from the late 90s and early 00s hardcore scene, SPEAR formed in 2023 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. They aim to revitalize a sound that they felt was missing from the European hardcore landscape, mixing melodic and tempo-driven songs with metallic breakdowns and riffs. These elements combine into energetic, full-powered sets that have firm respect for the roots of hardcore, whilst still delivering a distinct sound.

Their lyrics are both personal and universal, focussing on what it means to be human in our modern, often overwhelming society. The lyrics deal with topics such as loss, death, memory separation and self-discovery.

With their first demo from August 2024, SPEAR is ready to prove that they earn their place in the current hardcore scene. Their unyielding passion and authenticity surely make them a band to watch in the coming years.
